Highly Favored Productions teamed up with Baby 1st of Columbus, Ohio to bring awareness to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS.) The collaboration allowed Highly Favored Productions to partner with one of the leading nonprofit organizations in Ohio to put on “Jokes and Jazz” in our newly formed Comedy with a Cause series. Highly Favored Productions is committed to doing its part in helping bring awareness to various causes that have serious health implications for individuals and families.
The October 27th event featured comedians Melvin Bender, Martez Jackson, and Mike Bonner, and was headlined by smooth jazz saxophonist Randy Scott. CEO of Highly Favored Productions, Louis Allen noted, “I think it’s the best of both worlds. Comedy and Laughter is truly medicine for the soul. At the same time, people are being made aware of an important cause, and how they can get involved to make a difference.”
Highly Favored Productions commends Baby 1st and the GISS Center for being true advocates of health and wellness for safe infant sleep education. Studies show that approximately 3,000 babies die from SIDS each year and African American babies are twice as likely to die of SIDS as white babies. The time is now to improve sleeping and parenting behaviors that will save our babies, instill hope, and solidify their future.
God blessed us in Ohio last month, and we look forward to blessing you at Smooth Jazz & Hilarious laughs on Friday, February 22, 2019. The show will feature smooth violinist Evan Garr, who is currently touring with Stanley Clark and Jean-Luc Ponty. And we will showcase the hilarious comedy stylings of Chicago’s own Jeremiah Frazier. Stay tuned to hear more about other artists joining our productions.
